[Video]: Sean Tizzle - The Wedding Effect
Saying SEAN TIZZLE credibly meets up with the array of top Nigerian artiste like D’banj and Psquare who have a special way of keeping their audience on the dance floor all through their performance is certainly not an exaggeration.
This was clearly seen at the series of wedding ceremonies SEAN TIZZLE played in and out of Lagos in recent times.
This energetic entertainer definitely knows how to set the hall into so much frenzy and get high esteemed guest sing along with him all through his performance.
Recently at The KOKO Master a.k.a Banger Lee of the LEE TEMPLE sister’s engagement, D’banj was spotted filled with excitement as he watched Sean Tizzle thrill guest at the event.
Of course you will agree that visuals is more explanatory than words; sit back and enjoy this entertaining piece from the stables of Difference Entertainment.

Obasanjo, A Troublesome Student At National Open University; Says Vice Chancellor
“When Obasanjo became a student of the institution, he thought that it was an easy thing to do. When he was given all the courses, he realised it wasn’t easy and so he had to defer his admission. He said ‘I would not take part in this until I finished my tenure as President’. So he never studied while he was the President until he completed his tenure, then he started the course.
“He did a Post Graduate Diploma in Christian Theology. He was a very troublesome student because he will not start calling until 12 mid night and keep you online until about 2.00a.m. Every time he gives us trouble, we pray that he graduates…
“[At last] he did and his certificate was valid.”
The Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Vincent Ado Tenebe, on Monday gave a glimpse into former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s time as a student of the institution.
He said in the course of his study, Obasanjo told him: “I want to do the same thing others are doing.”
Prof. Tenebe, who commended Obasanjo for giving a new lease of life to NOUN during his administration in 2002, stated that: “President Obasanjo, when he became a student which he did by example, resuscitated the university…. The university was in dormancy until when civilian rule under Obasanjo came on board and re-cooperated the university in 2002 while in 2003, we started our academic programmes.
Speaking on whether Obasanjo influenced his good result in any way, Prof. Tenebe said:
“Obasanjo was a very brilliant student and I can tell you there were lots of controversies when his papers were being marked. I won’t disclose the secret of how our papers are marked but it is marked from Port Harcourt to Lagos, Kano, Maiduguri and the markers will never know whose paper they are marking. So the old man is intelligent, his certificate is valid and was done according to rules and regulations of the Nigerian University Commission.”

Wande Coal leaves Mavin Records + New Single “Kilaju”
Interesting words reaching us are that Wande Coal has stopped working with Mavin Records – but still preserves DJ Spinall as his official DJ.
Although our source claims Wande Coal was never signed to Mavin Records – on paper and he was only working hand-in-hand with the Don Jazzy led record label. This tie is said to have been ended and Wande Coal has fully-floated his record label Black Diamond Entertainment.
This move was made obvious by his latest single Kilaju which dropped yesterday.
….with Don Jazzy keeping mute about the song, Wande Coal was made to do all the online promotion himself with no support from the entire Mavin Records gang including their online PRs.
The reason Wande Coal did not sign with Mavin on launch was that he strongly believes Mavin Records cannot move his career to the next level and disagreement over sharing of monies with Wande not willing to shift ground on 10% with Mavin asking for 20%. Wande is also still working with his manager, Nana.
On another note, have you heard Wande Coal mention the word Mavin before?

[Listen]: Nicki Minaj’s Shocked Response To DJ Khaled’s Proposal
Four days after DJ Khaled proposed to Nicki Minaj in a video for MTV News, the ‘Starships’ rapper finally responded. Did she say yes? Did she say no? Keep reading to find out!
DJ Khaled laid his heart on the line on July 25, proposing to Nicki Minaj in an amazing, heartfelt video for MTV News. Nicki, 30, finally responded with an answer during an interview with Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex on July 29.
Nicki Minaj Responds To DJ Khaled’s Marriage Proposal
Like many fans, Nicki didn’t take DJ Khaled’s proposal too seriously.
I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world ’cause Khaled is a master at what he does.
Calling Khaled, 37, a master seems appropriate because the rapper managed to promote his upcoming album Suffering From Success during the proposal. In the video, the rapper mentioned how he and Nicki both are “suffering from success.” (Creative, no?)
It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record. Nobody in my real life took it seriously. Everybody just hit me like, ‘LOL. Yo, Khaled is crazy.’
Nicki Minaj: DJ Khaled Was Kidding
And to set the record straight, Nicki shot down any chance of a potential engagement between her and DJ Khaled. She said:
Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya’ll. Please let it go. He was kidding. He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me. We’re brother and sister.
What do YOU think? Did you think Khaled’s proposal was a joke? Do you feel duped?

Nigerians Among 31 Migrants Drowned While Crossing To Italy
Italian media reported today that Nigerian migrants were among several dozen people who drowned weekend off the coast of Libya, while attempting to cross into Italy.
Thirty one migrants, including nine women, drowned off the coast of Libya during an attempted crossing to Italy according to survivors who managed to complete the journey, Italian media reported Sunday.
A dinghy carrying 53 migrants capsized on Friday evening, and witnesses said 31 of those who had been thrown off it drowned in the accident.
The twenty two survivors, who come from Nigeria, Gambia, Benin and Senegal, said the dinghy had capsized after three days at sea. They were rescued by a passing merchant ship and taken to Lampedusa island, the reports said.
As the number of boat immigrants attempting the crossing soars in the good weather, rescuers saved another 450 people trying to reach Italy on Friday and Saturday, increasing tensions at the already crowded refugee centre on the island.
Another 92 migrants including 16 women were rescued Sunday morning in the Strait of Sicily after their boat got into difficulty.
Since 1999, more than 200,000 people have arrived on Lampedusa which is closer to North Africa than Italy making it, along with the Greece-Turkey border, one of the biggest gateways for undocumented migrants and refugees into the European Union.
In nearby Malta, 112 migrants were saved from their drifting dinghy overnight Saturday in a 13 hour operation during which eight of those rescued were airlifted to hospital by helicopter for urgent medical attention.
That group which included 20 women and four children was suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and sun stroke, a Maltese army spokesman told AFP.
The latest arrivals bring the number of migrants to land on Malta in July to 880 an all time record for a month while 1,200 people in total have landed on the island so far this year.

Al-Mustapha Opens Up-- Why I Didn’t Take Over Power As Soon As Abacha Died
A lot of political under-current went into the process that brought up Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar as Head of State following the controversial death in office of late Gen Sani Abachi.
But why didn’t Abacha’s dreaded CSO, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha used his overbearing influence to take over the government immediately, considering it would have been very easy for him?
The former Chief Security Officer to late Abacha said:
God used him to stabilise the country from the possible turmoil that could have followed Abacha’s death.
Al-Mustapha stated this when he visited the Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Asari Dokubo, in his Abuja residence at the weekend.
He said he chose not to assume power during the death of Abacha, lamented that some people capitalized on his humility and loyalty to the service of Nigeria to punish him unjustly.
In his words: “Ours is to serve, preserve the country and so I did. If I had wanted, after the death of General Sanni Abacha, this country was to witness another thing. But in our character, ours is to serve the country and I did. Nobody fired one bullet the day General Abacha died. God gave me the courage. But there was so much confusion, so many agitations at that time.
“But God used me to stabilize a course and it is the course that gave birth to this democracy. So, if I had not done so that time, we would have changed the course of history. But because we kept quiet, we were humble and committed to the country, people now turned it around.”
His host, Alhajia Asari Dokubo urged Al-Mustapha to, “Forgive them. It is when you forgive that you gain more benefits from Allah.”

Daughter Of Redeemed Pastor Who Converted To Islam Speaks
The issues is generating controversy here and there; some say she was brain-washed and forced to abandon her first religion, Christianity and accept Islam by a Northern traditional ruler.
What actually transpired? Below is what she said about what that has happened to her:
The conversion to Islam of 25-year-old Charity Uzoechina, daughter of Pastor Raymond Uzoechina of the Redeem Christian Church of God, Kwankwashe, Suleja, continues to generate controversy.
Her father accused the Estu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubukar, of hypnotizing his daughter, who has since changed her name to A’isha, to embrace Islam. A’isha, who hails from Asaba, Delta State, came to Abuja at the age of 10 when her father relocated from Lagos.
After her secondary school education at Army Day Secondary School Asokoro, Abuja she got admission into Federal Polytechnic, Bida to read Public Administration. She, however, withdrew from the course in her first year. She embraced Islam on February 15, 2013. A’isha said since her family relocated to Suleja, Niger State, she has been in the midst of Muslims, which accorded her the opportunity to have several Muslims friends and learnt a lot about Islam.
The travails of A’isha began when she ran to the Estu Nupe’s palace in Bida on March 1, this year to seek protection against any aggression she may face should her family know about her conversion to Islam. This led to a controversy that is still ongoing.
A’isha has dragged her own father, a Pastor, to a Shariah court in Bida, Niger State. The court is expected to rule on August 1, 2013 whether or not she should be released to her parents or not.
She speaks exclusively to Weekly Trust. Excerpts:
What is your name?
Aisha Uzoechina: I was formerly known as Charity Uzoechina and now A’isha Uzoechina. Why the change of name? I changed my name because I have accepted Islam.
What brought you to Bida?
I came to Bida in 2012 to read Public Administration at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida.
Are you still a student of Federal Polytechnic Bida?
No, I am not. I have withdrawn from the school.
Did you go back home?
No, I did not go home. At the beginning I was planning to go back home, because I wanted to tell my father that I have converted to Islam. When I converted, I was afraid to tell my parents, because of the way my father would behave. I know he will not take it lightly with me. So, for that I refused to go back home.
Did anybody force or enticed you to join Islam?
I joined Islam on my own. Nobody enticed me with anything to join Islam. What informed your decision to join Islam? I converted to Islam because I love the character of Muslims, particularly the way they behave. You know Muslims believe in God. I have Muslim friends and I watch what they do, that enticed me to join Islam. I used to read Qur’an when I was a Christian. I always join them to read Qur’an and through that I found out that it is the same one God they worship. So I embraced Islam.
How did your father come to know about your change of faith?
When I ran to the palace, I told you, it was very difficult before I could see the Emir. When I saw him, the emir refused to accept me, because my father did not know about it. He, therefore, collected my father’s number from me and called him. The following day my father came and said he wanted to see me. When we met we talked one on one.
What did you tell him?
Well the Emir told him that I have converted to Islam. When my father talked to me, he said let’s go home, but I refused. I told him that I will not change my faith, because I have already accepted Islam and this is where I want to stay. He, therefore, threatened me so much so that I became scared of him.
What did he do to you amounting to a threat?
In the first place you know, I put on Hijab (veil), he said I should remove the Hijab. He was angry and used some harsh words on me, directing that I should remove the Hijab, but I refused. He threatened to take me to a village where nobody will set his eyes on me. So I became scared of him, therefore I refused to follow him. That is it.
Did the Emir intervene?
The emir gave him one week to come back, but he came back even before it reached one week. He said he must take me home. He will not take me to our house, but he’ll take me to somewhere that nobody will set his eyes on me. I quickly ran back to the emir and to the Shari’a Court for protection. I don’t want to go back to my father, because he is threatening me.
How did you come to know about the Shari’a Court?
I found out from people. I went to them on my own to formally lodge my complaint.
Why Shari’a Court?
They have to protect me. You know when you take a case to court over life threatening issue, the court must protect you. That is it.
Did your father come back after you refused to follow him?
He came back. He kept on coming back. The other time he even threatened to bring some people to kidnap me.
Is it true that at a time your father came with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officials to you?
Yes.
Is it true that you also went to the Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI)?
Yes.
Why did you go to JNI?
I told you and I’ll still repeat it, though I don’t want to repeat my words again. I want them to intervene on my behalf, the threat is too much. Now I can’t go anywhere, I cannot even continue with my schooling. I cannot do anything because of the way he has been threatening me. He is still bringing people up till now to keep watch on me.
How do you know that your father has assigned people to keep watch on you?
There was a time that I wanted to go out, information came to me that my father was around and I had to stay back since I don’t want him to take me away. I know that if I gout anytime,I he’ll pick me up.
How did you come to know about JNI?
I have been reading about them. That is why I went to them.
How did you present your case to JNI?
I wrote to them seeking for their intervention, because I do not know how to go about convincing my father. I also learnt that the emir wanted to hand me over to my father, because the burden of my case is becoming too much for him to bear.
If your father should promise to allow you to practice your new faith, will you go with him? I’ll not. In a family that you are the only Muslim, how can you practice in that house?
You know when he (my father) came along with my mother the other time, his actions and the harsh words he used, even if I go back home, my life will not be secured in his hand. That is why I said I’ll not go.
Did you start learning anything about Islam?
Yes, I started learning how to perform ablution. I have learnt how to recite Surah Al-Fatihah, I am now in my second surah.
Do you pray five times a day?
Yes I do. I am even fasting now. I have been fasting since the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
What is your massage to people wanting to join Islam?
I have only one massage. Islam is good. Muslims are truthful, everything they say, they believe in God and they carry people along. Once a person converted to Islam, he’ll be carried along until he is strong to stand on his own.
What is your appeal to your parent?
I am appealing to my parents not to be angry with me. My conversion to Islam will not separate us. I still love them, even though I am here. They can come and visit me and I can also visit them. They shouldn’t think my new faith will take away the love I have for them. It will not. I am very sorry

Music video director Aswad Ayinde jailed 90 yrs for fathering 6 kids with his own daughters
Music video director Aswad Ayinde, 55, who won an MTV award for directing The Fugees’ ‘Killing Me Softly’ in 1996, has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for repeatedly raping his six daughters and fathering six children with them. *spits out* how disgusting is this guy?
Aswad Ayinde is accused of raping his daughters to create a “pure” bloodline, fathered six kids with them from the mid-1980s to 2002 – and delivered the babies himself, the court heard during his trial last Friday
“He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen,” his ex-wife, Beverly Ayinde testified at a pre-trial hearing.
Prosecutors said Ayinde kept the kids from blabbing about the rape by beating them and isolating them from other children. All his daughters were home schooled.
“I was afraid to ever accuse him of being demented or being a pedophile,” Beverly Ayinde, who had 9 children with him told the court. “I knew the word, but I wouldn’t dare use it because it would result in a beating.”
Prosecutors revealed that Mr. Ayinde began having sex with his second daughter from the time she was eight-years-old, impregnating her four times. He faces three more trials over the alleged assaults.
