The friends gathered at a hangout in Aguda, Surulere, to mark one year of his  demise. They also seized the opportunity to review the state of things with his family after his death.
Among them were the deceased’s former publicist, Ifenna Ezechukwu and manager, Mgbakor Obinna. Others were Chukwudi Bambino, Ndubuoke Theodore Ujunwa a.k.a Mr UJ, Toscar Roberts Ugwu and Donatus Okonkwo.

Mr Bambino who spoke on behalf of his  friends,   lamented  the gross negligence and abandonment currently faced  by the late  musician’s family following g his demise.
“We have observed  that when MC Loph died, people raised the family’s hope  with promises and since after the burial, have not fulfilled the promises.   Between the time MC Loph died and now, a lot of things have happened. As friends, we are not happy with the way things are  going on.” he stated.

“MC Loph’s death has taught me a great lesson. While he was alive,he was known to be a very kind-hearted person. He accommodated some of these friends until they finally got a place of their own.
But today, he is no more  leaving behind an aged mother, wife  and a child.”
Bambino said,  even though MC Loph’s dreams were truncated by his sudden demise, there  is the    need to immortalise him because the late singer contributed immensely to the  development of the nation’s entertainment industry.
