POLITICS:Governor Mimiko’s aides resign

Not less than four (4) of Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s aides have resigned their appointment from the ruling Labour Party administration since last week Monday.

Yesterday, the Special Assistance to the Governor on Project Monitoring,Mr Femi Idris, resigned his political appointment from the ruling government noting that it is in his best interest to resign now than to rubbish or bring shame upon his name.

His resignation letter addressed to the Secretary to the State Government partly reads: I thank Governor Mimiko for allowing me to serve in his administration. I’m compelled at this juncture to resign my appointment with immediate effect. This is to enable me concentrate fully on my educational programme.

He further explained that it was wise for him to resign his appointment from Governor Mimiko’s administration that is associated with different political crisis, and for the sake of his image, he had to resign.
