Akon has definitely been on the trail for African talent and he seems to be succeeding in his endeavors. The Konvict head honcho has had the pleasure of adding one of Africa's biggest acts to his label, namely Psquare; the Nigerian duo as well as Wizkid.
Recently while in Nairobi, Kenya, Akon sat down for a video conference in which he was asked several questions which included what his set would look like for his performance, what to expect and so forth. He was also asked whom from Africa was currently signed to him. Akon responded that there were currently 3 artists under his label. He named Wizkid, Davido and P square. He had an awkward moment when he gave the response as he seemed to forget Psquare's name and just referred to them as the twins. He eventually came around when he was reminded. Can we say awkward?
Anyway, there you have it folks, it seems Davido is the newest to Akon's roster. It looks like this announcment was official enough and lays the speculation to rest. Yes! Davido is now a Konvict.
