The
baby christening of Bisi Ibidapo Obe might have come and gone but the
echoes of the event still remain. One of the echoes is the Celestial prophet
who came to the house to christen the baby as the apex body of the
church says it’s unconstitutional to name a baby at home according to
their doctrine and the precedent left by the founder of the church.
‘’Even Jesus Christ who is the foundation of the church was brought to the temple to be christened in Luke 2 verse 21-40, so, to name a baby in the house without bringing such baby to be presented before God in the temple is not in line with the church doctrine. Besides, the situation of Bisi was not a critical one for her not to have brought the baby to the church for proper naming,’’ one of the top elders told us.
