‘Africa Answers’ Names Tuface Idibia, Banky W, D’banj and P-Square Among Africa’s Ten Richest Artistes

Richest Page Africa Answers Names Tuface Idibia, Banky W, Dbanj and P Square Among Africas Ten Richest Artistes

African Music , like the continent, has evolved over the years probably due to the high level of Westernization and the undeniable fact that many African songs come with some very captivating rhythm and dance moves which help popularize them.  There are  a few African musicians who have acquired a great deal of wealth by appealing to the average African’s sense of good music. These few have become so popular with what they know how to do best, you practically have to pay  tons of cash to have them come grace your occasion. Internationally, they are also fast becoming sought after names in the music and entertainment industry making Africa proud. Here are ten of Africa’s wealthiest musicians according to ‘Answers Africa’.
In no particular order, the artistes are listed as follows:  Jose Chameleone (Uganda), BankyW (Nigeria), Hugh Masekela(South Africa), Tuface Idibia (Nigeria), Fally Ipupa (the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Salif Keita (Mali),  Koffi Olomide (the Democratic Republic of the Congo), D’Banj (Nigeria), P-Square (Nigeria) and Youssou N’dour (Senegal).
Although ‘Africa Answers’ stated assets – luxurious cars, houses in high priced areas and more- owned by these music icons and how much they are assumed to earn per show, it failed to specifically highlight the figures these artistes gross yearly; a valid proof attesting to their financial status and the fact that they are indeed Africa’s ten wealthiest musicians.
The generalized tone with which this assertion was made might just be misleading. It’s no secret that African artistes, unlike their Western counterparts, usually do not openly announce their  financial strengths so it’s difficult to do an estimated analysis on their financial worth without the facts required. Although we celebrate the achievements of these ten celebrities, it’s almost safe to say that the ratings might have, indeed, been too subjective and thus, unjustified.
