SPORT:Eto’o return good for Cameroon,Says Song

Indomitable Lions defender Alex Song says that Cameroon are focussed on reversing the 2-0 deficit conceded against Cape Verde in the first leg of Nations Cup qualifier when both teams meet in Yaounde on Sunday for the second leg.
Denis Lavagne was the team coach during the first leg in Praia but Jean-Paul Akono is in charge of the team for the Sunday match. Song said the change of coach would play a positive role in their quest to reach South Africa in 2013.
“The coach gave us all a speech and it is up to us to adhere to his message and to give our utmost on Sunday.  For now everything is going well.  We are going to try to combine all our possible forces to be able to win this match.”
On the return of Samuel Eto’o to the team, the former Arsenal star said the other players were happy that the misunderstanding between Eto’o and Cameroon football federation was over.
“I think that everybody is present.  Everyone is welcome.  There is not only one player who has returned.  We are all happy to meet up with each other again, now each must bring his contribution to the party and give his all so that the country can be proud of us.
“We are filled with a feeling of revenge.  In Cape Verde, we did not play to our full capacity.  I think that it is important today because we questioned ourselves.  And what we showed over there was not our true face. On the contrary, we have to raise the flag as our elders have done in the past, even if we are in a difficult position today,” Song said, affirming that it would be a big blow if Cameroon failed to qualify again.
